I saw my cousin Gil off to the Marines on Sunday. It was not easy. This morning I woke up thinking about him. I was in the bathroom with him as he shaved his long “rock star” gotee just before he drove off. We laughed as it all came off. He is now 2 days into his duty. His world has completely changed. He is out of grasp and out of reach and really there is nothing anyone can do. It hit me this morning.

6 Months and counting…
It’s absolutely incredible how fast time is flying by right now. My wife is nearly 6 months and it’s all just so hard to believe. She feels great and looks great! 
She tells me that she can feel the baby move quite frequently now. I still have only felt it a handful of times and each time just blows me away.
Lately we have been meeting alot of couples who are married and or expecting too having dinner with them and just talking more. I’ve always been this guy who was always doing something staying so busy that it seemed like I never had time for this kind of thing. What a shame. But now I’m discovering how much I enjoy the community thing and how much I need the slower paced lifestyle. 2 years ago life was moving so fast from one event to the next, eating altoids for dinner and living on little sleep that I never really got enough time to hang with friends and to really develop the relationships. It’s amazing how much has changed just in such a short time.
I always thought the dream was to do what you love and make a living doing so. Now I feel like the dream is to do what you love with people you love and really live…

Netflix rocks but now it’s even better.
Netflix has just launched the “watch it now” service which is included in your Netflix subscription allowing subscribers to stream DVD’s at any time. How great is this? Netflix has one of the if not the largest online database of DVD’s available via the web for streaming. Too cool.
